Dear You,

I'm looking for a moment of beauty in a world determined to destroy anything that can't be monetised, controlled, reduced for convenience, watered down for safety, or suspected of ill-doing. I want to see my heart reflected for just a moment, out there, in this world of hate and darkness. I thought life was about balance - more or less half the time day, the other half night. What could be simpler? Turns out it's a few decades of darkness, and a few seconds of light tucked away in obscure places I can rarely visit. Something ain't right. Is it just me? Am I blind? Am I too sane? If I was any less sane I'd be unable to function in basic ways. Who am I waiting on? Is it you?
